Check back here for a complete weekend schedule and guide. We are very excited to be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Georgia Tech Bands this year! In commemoration of this event, GTBAA wanted to let you know as early as possible about our plans to make Homecoming the biggest and best alumni band event ever. Mark your calendars and make travel plans for the weekend of October 24-25! Friday NightOur weekend will kick off with the Surround Sound concert at the Ferst Center for the Arts at 7:00pm on Friday. The highlight of the concert will be the performance by the Symphonic Band of a work commissioned by Kappa Kappa Psi for the 100th Anniversary. Following the concert at 8:00pm there will be a celebration dinner and presentation for alumni, current students, family and friends. Saturday NightSaturday's activities include a pre-game meal and performance at the Campanile - all leading to our Homecoming game against The University of Virginia. Since this is the GT Bands centennial, there will be a big halftime show to honor our alumni. We want to have as many decades represented as we possibly can and have a large presence in the stands and on the field. It will be a great time to see old friends and cheer the Yellow Jackets to victory! After the game, Tau Beta Sigma will be hosting a reception with drinks and snacks, during which GTBAA will present the Outstanding Junior award. All of the Homecoming activities will be hosted in a hospitality tent set up on campus, so we want as many people to participate as possible. We will have a special commemorative polo shirt to honor the band's milestone celebration, as well as an additional surprise gift. Even if you haven't participated in the band in many years, or picked up an instrument in a while, we really encourage you to come to this special event.
