During Homecoming Weekend 2015, the Georgia Tech Band Alumni Association (GTBAA) Executive Board proudly presented the Outstanding Junior Award to Katherine Martin! Katherine is a 3rd year Architecture major who has been a trumpet player in both the Marching and Jazz Bands. She also helps serves the band as a member of Tau Beta Sigma, crossing during the fall semester of 2014. Katherine also serves as the unofficial “Hype Ribbon Mistress,” which involves making GAMEDAY ribbons for the trumpet (and other) section. In addition to her service to the Georgia Tech Band, Katherine is involved in the larger Georgia Tech community as well. Katherine is the 3rd Year Representative to the Dean of Architecture, which entails corresponding with the Dean, providing feedback on to how to make the most out of the students' Studio time. Katherine is involved in the Georgia Tech Wesley Foundation, performing in their worship band and also serves as the Student President.
